Hey everyone, team members, trolls, fans and general visitors.
Epic Racing has grown up as a team now, 8 months after it's creation back at the end of last year. It's now boasting record numbers of drivers, becoming increasingly competitive in the league series and is finally becomming recognised as an established team with in the Live for Speed community.
With the growth has come additional responsibility, work and pressure to ensure the team is running as smoothly as possible. All of which is increasingly more time consuming.
Which brings me nicely onto this announcement.
I recently had a week off, and, as I'm sure you are all well aware, I wasn't able to make a single appearence on the forum. In fact, I haven't for some two weeks now I believe, which isn't right. Now, this is down to a number of reasons, it was my 21st birthday which means it was a very social week, I've been on the hunt for a single full time job, I've been spending more time with the girlfriend and enjoying it like I never have done before.
Basically, I prioritised what was important to me, personally and professionally. And this highlighted my position on working with you guys. It's nothing against you, you're a great bunch to be with and I wouldn't change team for any offer. It's just the nature of the job, it's time consuming and requires alot of patience, thought and devotion. All of which I'm sadly running out of as I continue to become an apparent grown up.
And so I took the decision that, as of midnight tonight, I am to stand down from my position as manager of Epic Racing. It's a tough decision, particually as I feel asthough I'm letting Simon, Oscar and the rest of you all down. However, I feel the team will be able to make much larger strides with a fully active and inspired management.
As of 12:01pm, I'll remove myself from the managerial roster and hand power over to both Oscar and Simon, who will then take the reigns and decide where to go from here. I've already informed both of them before hand.
I don't want you guys to feel sorry, or angry, or frustrated, or even let down. It was never my intentions to leave the team that myself and Simon created last year with the help of some current and ex-members. Instead, I want you all to continue the great work we have all achieved as a team and reach further towards becoming an elite team.
I firmly, firmly believe you all have potential to make this target a reality and I really do wish you all the best of luck, you deserve it and I'll be sure to throw my support whenever I get a chance to watch a race broadcast!
Well, I don't think there's much else to really say, I've had a brilliant time starting and working with the team, I feel it's one of the brighter achievements I've accomplished and I'm very proud with the progress we've all made, both on and off the track.
Over to Oscar and Sheasby.
